EAT CARBOHYDRATES AND STILL LOSE WEIGHT
Carbohydrates are grouped into two categories: simple carbohydrates (sugars) and complex carbohydrates (starches). Simple carbohydrates comprise milk, fruit juices, etc which convert to glucose quickly, whilst complex carbohydrates are comprised of beans, pasta, grains and starchy vegetables like potatoes. Complex carbohydrates are converted to sugar prior to being converted into glucose (and in excess, the dreaded body fat!).
Imagine a natural substance that could be taken prior to eating carbohydrates that prevents at least 75% of carbohydrates from being converted to sugar (and body fat)! Well there is a ?starch blocker? that has been proven in trials to do exactly that. Now you can have your cake and be able to eat it, yet still be within the guidelines required by a low-carbohydrate diet. That means if you should not eat more than 50 carbohydrate calories, you can now eat over 200, and still comply with the diet requirements!
Starch blockers are natural compounds that delay digestion and inhibit the absorption of starchy foods by interfering with an enzyme called amylase. Normally this enzyme breaks down starches, allowing them to pass into the bloodstream as glucose. But the starch blocker causes mal-digestion of the carbohydrate and less glucose passes through to the bloodstream. Some studies have found that amylase inhibition reduced post-meal blood sugar rises by 85%.
Starch blockers as well as stabilizing blood sugar also improve mood chemistry by correcting and stabilizing the levels of two other of your body?s most powerful forces: the neurotransmitter serotonin, and the endorphins. When these mood-influencing forces are functioning smoothly, people are tremendously empowered in the fight against fat. They have the biochemical lift that they need in order to change their emotional and behavioural patterns. Lack of serotonin often accounts for the carbohydrate craving that so many people commonly experience. It is not the starch in a plate of pancakes that they crave, but the sense of contentment and well-being that the starch triggers.
As you will realise, the brain functions best when it gets a steady supply of serotonin ? not too much at once, and not too little. One of the best ways to achieve this is to not metabolise too many carbs at once, or too few carbs over the course of the day. Achieving this steady, high level of serotonin is, unfortunately, harder for women than for men. The primary reason for this is that the female hormone estrogen tends to destabilise serotonin levels, while the male hormone testosterone generally stabilises them.
Serotonin levels become markedly lower when estrogen levels fluctuate, as they typically do during certain phases of the menstrual cycle. This largely accounts for the anxiety and depression often associated with premenstrual syndrome, or PMS. In contrast, starch blockers allow for consumption of relatively large volumes of carbohydrates, without the accompanying large numbers of calories. They even increase the volume of starchy foods somewhat by allowing starch to pass through the system in whole-molecule form.
The advantage of the starch blocker strategy is that it doesn?t try to trick the brain. It works in strict accord with the body?s own natural processes. It satisfies the body?s normal desire for fullness in the stomach and small intestine, without adding unnecessary calories. It also satisfies the natural emotional desire to eat a pleasurable, fulfilling diet, thus helping control psychological hunger.
The good news is: Starch blockers are 100% as effective for women as for men. They help level the field for all of us. This does not mean you can be silly with carbohydrate intake - Carbo-Slim allows you a lot more flexibility in your diet and provides assurances of only digesting a low percentage of the carbohydrates. Carbo-slim contains two essential and clinically proven starch blockers ? Phaseolamin 2250 and Alphatrim-W both of which have shown to inhibit the conversion to calories and fat of some 75% of the carbohydrate content of any food. In addition there are two other components including glucosol with standardized levels of corosolic acid to balance blood sugar levels, helping you to avoid those extra calories.
Take 1-2 capsules up to 15 minutes before each carbohydrate meal dependant upon volume of carbohydrate content.
- Balances blood sugar.
- Promotes healthy insulin levels.
- Controls appetite and food craving (especially carbohydrate cravings).
- Promotes weight loss
